The GET website and systems were developed at Florida International University's Hemispheric Center for Environmental Technology. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science and Technology, whose mission is to develop and deploy new technologies that can address the complexity and magnitude of cleanup from the legacy of nuclear weapons production. Guidance and strategic direction were provided by the National Energy Technology Laboratory D&D Focus Area.
