The Gateway to Environmental Technology (GET) website is a search tool created to provide problem holders with up-to-date, reliable information on technologies in the following areas:

  • Characterization
  • Decontamination
  • Dismantlement
  • Waste Management
  • Worker Health & Safety
  • Other - may be expanded upon request

Why use the GET website? For its ease of use.
Visit the site, and save queries in your preferences. You will be notified by e-mail if a technology fitting your query criteria has been added to the site. You can also save technologies that are of interest to you, in your preferences, for later retrieval.

How do I enter technologies?
Vendors or manufacturers may enter their technologies into the website by simply registering. Pictures, supporting documents, and movies may be appended to a technology that is entered. If the technology has been demonstrated, the details of the demonstration can also be entered, along with supporting documents.

Wireless enabled? YES!
Do you need to search for a technology? Do you need vendor contact information? Do you need to view technologies you have saved in your preferences? All of these can be accessed from your Cell Phone or PDA. Just enter http://www.dandd.org/mget from your WAP browser to start Click here to see a list of devices supported by .NET .

Need a Report? You can create a PDF report of a specified technology or demonstration by clicking on the Create/Download Report link at the top of each technology and demonstration. The PDF report may be saved to your computer or PDA using Adobe Reader® for desktop or handheld devices.

The GET website and systems were developed at Florida International University's Hemispheric Center for Environmental Technology. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science and Technology, whose mission is to develop and deploy new technologies that can address the complexity and magnitude of cleanup from the legacy of nuclear weapons production. Guidance and strategic direction were provided by the National Energy Technology Laboratory D&D Focus Area.
